Happy Mother's Day

                                                              Happy Mother's Day!

I had the most perfect Mother's Day weekend. My Mommy, Daddy, S & I drove to North Carolina for a weekend trip to visit the least favorite <my brother> since he missed out on the engagement party... And guess what?!? I got my double black martini!

Mommy and I twinned all day on Saturday in our new Lilly for Target Jumpers! Yes, I'm 23, and no, I don't mind matching my mom. TBH, I loved it! I got her a few Lilly presents for Mother's day, including 2 more matching outfits, a Clarasonic Mia 2, a Wen gift set, a light-blue KitchenAid hand mixer and chopper to match her stand mixer, a pair of Jack Rodgers, a pair of gold Guess wedges, and some quality time with her favorite. <me, duh>  Mommy is my best friend and I am beyond thankful for her. From wedding planning meltdowns, breakdowns in fitting rooms and to tough decisions like trying to decide what pair of shoes to buy, my Mommy always has my back, regardless of time or distance. I know she will always be there for me.

To my Mommy: Thank you for everything you do! I am so blessed to be your daughter and when I grow up I want to be just like you! Happy Mother's <Best Friend> Day! Love you MORE.

Sunday morning we had brunch at Firebirds, Mommy's favorite <mine too>. We both had BLT salads, as always, and I attempted to order my double black martini, but they wouldn't serve it to me! Apparently, in North Carolina, you can't be served alcohol until after noon? It worked out well in the end when our server had my martini on the table at 12:01.

After brunch, we did a bit of shopping at South Point Mall then drove back to Knoxville to celebrate with the soon-to-be-in-laws! <Happy Mother's Day Laurie!>

I hope everyone else was able to spend Mother's Day with their loved ones!

S/O to S for all the great photography.

  1. When you add water in to a slide it can be made even more fun. Water slide is best for summer month when it is hot outside. I think most of the kids love water slides more than a dry slide.
